After last year’s wedding, the newcomers from Hong Kong are now happily settled in Alice Springs. There are strong bonds of friendship and life is colourful, lively and fun.

Jayce’s future looks bright as she graduates from high school with honours and accolades. Sadly, her personal life is not quite so neatly wrapped up. Will she be able to sort it out? And can Herman help her to do so when he is part of the problem, and so is her father and her best friend, Sandy? Where else can she turn?

Herman, being the wise old owl that he is does his best to offer counsel to family and friends, but faces making a difficult decision whether or not to reveal things from the past. And in so doing would it bring understanding and resolution or further entrench their problems?

And as Herman is showing signs of slowing down in his advancing years, will he be up to being gallant and intrepid for yet another adventure where he must go head to head with some dangerous dudes.
